Yes. When you book directly with Pension Norika, you benefit from a best price guarantee, the largest room selection, free parking and WiFi. In summer, you also get free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival and exclusive packages that are only available through direct booking.
<strong>Summer:</strong> FLEXI BOOKING – 0% cancellation fees, 100% peace of mind. Bookings can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
<strong>Winter:</strong> Cancellation is free of charge up to 2 months before arrival. From 2 months to 1 month before arrival, 40% of the total price is charged; from 1 month to 1 week before arrival, 70%; after that, 90%. In case of no-show or early departure, the full price of the stay will be charged. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance, e.g. at www.europaeische.at.

Yes, in summer the Saalbach Hinterglemm JOKER CARD is included for your entire stay – giving you free use of the mountain lifts, Käpt’n Hook adventure outdoor pool, hiking buses and much more.
Yes, a deposit is due upon booking. Details of our bank account will be sent with your booking confirmation.
Arrival & Check-in
Check-in is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. If you’d like to arrive later, please call us at +43 6541 87152.
Check-out is until 10:00 am. We hope you had a pleasant stay!
Glemmtaler Landesstraße 262, A-5753 Saalbach – right in the centre of Saalbach. About one kilometre after the town sign, you’ll see a petrol station on your right; from there it’s another 200 metres. We’re the house just before the Trafik (tobacco shop).
By car, you can reach us via the A1 motorway or the A10 Tauern motorway, heading towards Zell am See–Maishofen–Saalbach. The nearest train station is Zell am See, from where the Postbus runs to Saalbach roughly every one to two hours. The nearest airports are Salzburg (approx. 1.5 hrs), Innsbruck (approx. 2 hrs) and Munich (approx. 2.5 hrs). From Salzburg Airport, you can continue free of charge by bus or train using the mobility card. The quickest option is usually the bus: Regional bus 260 Salzburg – Bad Reichenhall – Lofer – Saalfelden – Zell am See, change at the Maishofen Abzw. Glemmtal stop, get off at Saalbach Schattberg X-Press.
If you travel by train to Zell am See, Maishofen or Saalfelden, you can then continue free of charge by bus to Saalbach using the guest mobility card.
Yes, we offer our guests free parking (one space per room/apartment) right at the guesthouse.

Very central – you’re right in the centre of Saalbach, so you can happily leave your car parked for the entire holiday.
You’re practically plugged straight into the Skicircus:
– Schattberg X-press: approx. 250 metres (about a 4-minute walk)
– Kohlmaisbahn: approx. 450 metres (about a 6-minute walk)
– Ski school & practice slope: approx. 50 metres, basically right outside the door

You’re moments away from the heart of Saalbach’s nightlife. The popular UnderBar, for example, is only about 90 metres away, and a wide selection of traditional restaurants, pizzerias and eateries can be found within a 1 to 5 minute walk.
Rooms & Apartments
Double rooms, triple/family rooms (3–4 people), as well as 5 apartments for 2–4 people.
All rooms come with a shower/WC, flat-screen TV, in-room safe, hairdryer and balcony. Twin beds are available on request. Free WiFi is available throughout the house, as is a sauna.
Yes. Our 5 apartments (No. 6, 12, 14, 16, 17) feature a kitchen or kitchenette with coffee machine, kettle, stove, dishwasher, toaster and complete dishware for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Yes, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.
Yes, free WiFi is available to our guests throughout the house, and we also have an internet surf station.
Breakfast
For rooms (double, triple/family rooms), the breakfast buffet is included. For apartments, breakfast is available on request.
A generous selection of cold cuts, cheese and fresh vegetables, various types of bread and rolls, four kinds of cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. Plus jams, Nutella, croissants and pastries, as well as coffee specialities and five types of tea.
Facilities
We don’t have a pool, but our guests can use the sauna, which fits up to six people. In winter, the sauna is open Sunday to Thursday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and in summer on request. In summer, entry to the Käpt’n Hook adventure outdoor pool is also included with the JOKER CARD – it’s only about 500 metres away and easy to reach on foot.
Pension Norika doesn’t have its own restaurant or café, but you’ll find plenty of great restaurants nearby. We especially recommend Schattbergstube, Restaurant Del Rossi, Hotel Gappmaier, Two Maries, Soul House and Hotel Mitterer.
Summer Activities
In summer, you can explore the mountain landscape on around 400 km of well-marked hiking trails, go mountain biking in Austria’s largest bike region with over 90 km of trails, or take a motorcycle tour towards the Grossglockner. As a Norika guest, the Saalbach Hinterglemm JOKER CARD is included, giving you free access to many attractions and free use of the mountain lifts.
Yes, very conveniently: right across from Pension Norika, over the bridge, starts the Saalbach Promenade – a beautiful hiking and cycling path that takes you all the way to Hinterglemm or Maishofen without needing a car.
Right across from Pension Norika starts the Motorikweg Saalbach, a roughly 3 to 4 km trail along the Saalach promenade that leads all the way to Jausern. Along 24 stations, you can playfully train your coordination, strength and balance – it’s free to use and great fun for all ages.
Yes, we offer a lockable bike garage as well as a bike wash station. For stays of more than 3 days, jersey laundry is included free of charge.
Winter Activities
You’re staying right in the middle of the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, one of Austria’s largest ski areas with 270 km of slopes (140 km blue, 112 km red, 18 km black). The Schattberg X-press is only about 250 metres away, and the Kohlmaisbahn about 450 metres.
Yes, we offer a heated ski room as well as a ski boot room.
Yes, the ski school and practice slope are only about 50 metres away, basically right outside the door.
